This event occurs weekly, on Tuesday.
Child Development Center (CDC) will be conducting a workshop series in November, “Managing and Making Sense of Challenging Behavior" led by Carole McGuinness, Head of Early Intervention/Professional Development Specialist. From toddlers that have excessive tantrums to inattentive students in the senior classroom, parents and teachers face many types of challenging behaviors. The workshop will address the following key areas:
-Examine why challenging behaviors occur using a functional approach
-Suggest practical methods to reduce and effectively manage challenging behavior at each age group
-Problem-solve real case scenarios from the audience
The workshops are separated according to age: 0-4 years, 4-9 years, and 10+ years. This is geared towards teachers, nursery staff, learning/teaching assistants, parents, shadow teachers/therapists; although everyone is welcome! Please feel free to share this within your network.
