Looking to take home a unique gift from Qatar this Summer? Why not a painting or interesting print. Taiwanese-Canadian artist, Anny Ku, will be launching her 2nd solo art exhibition at the Katara Art Center where she will be showcasing a number of painting inspired by images of the Gulf region, and beyond.
Anny Ku, a Taiwanese-Canadian artist who received her formal art training in Taiwan at the Taiwan University of Technology, currently teaches art at the International School of London (ISL) Qatar and is well known to the Doha art scene through her paintings, prints and popular greeting cards. Ms Ku has expertise in a wide range of media and techniques that include sketching, oil and acrylic-based painting as well as Chinese calligraphy. Ms. Ku has lived in Qatar since 2003, and enjoys expressing her appreciation of and fondness for the Gulf region through her painting and sketching.
The exhibition will take place in the KATARA ART CENTER (BUILDING 5). Tuesday 23 May – Wednesday 21 June 2017. Opening hours are weekdays from 10:00am to 9:00pm and weekends from 2:00 to 9:00pm.
